1. Products Covered by Our Warranty
The following products are covered by our warranty:
All METZ models come with a three-year warranty valid from the date of the invoice. The performance of warranty claims shall neither extend nor restart the warranty period.
2. Covered Components
During the warranty period, all hardware components of the interactive display are covered. This includes the display screen, touch technology, built-in PC components (if applicable), connectivity ports, and associated internal hardware.
3. Exclusions
The Warranty does not apply to damage for which METZ cannot be held responsible. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
3.1 Improper use, mechanical damage (e.g., scratches, pressure or break points), incorrect storage, cleaning, and maintenance. It also does not cover the costs of any modification or adjustments required to adapt the product to local technical or safety standards.
3.2 Connection or use of the product for a purpose other than its intended use, and non-observation of METZ’s operating and installation instructions or the valid technical and safety-relevant provisions or standards of the country where the product is used.
3.3 Operating conditions that exceed normal office or private use, such as operation in smoky or dusty atmospheres, extreme room temperatures, and under UV/IR radiation.
3.4 Natural disasters, fires, flooding, chemical or biological exposure, acts of war, acts of violence, or similar events.
3.5 Defects caused by connecting or using non-METZ products in conjunction with the Product.
3.6 Modification of the product through unauthorized repair.
3.7 Products with modified, removed, or illegible serial numbers are excluded from the warranty.
4. Software Operating Systems
4.1 The Warranty applies to the current software operating version specified at the time of purchase.
4.2 We cannot guarantee product operation if third-party operating systems or applications are installed.
5. Accidental Damage
5.1 Accidental damage is not covered by the warranty as it is beyond the manufacturer’s control. Third-party insurance should be obtained to cover such situations.
5.2 The METZ range of screens is designed for harsh environments, featuring toughened safety glass and metal frames. In dusty environments, regular cleaning of touch frames is necessary for proper performance.
6. Dead on Arrival (DOA)
All brand-new Devices come with a thirty (30) day ‘Dead on Arrival’ (DOA) Warranty Policy, valid from the distributor-issued invoice date (within 180 days). If the device is found to be nonoperational within thirty (30) days of the invoice date, a new replacement unit will be provided along with the next batch to save freight costs.
